Saba Demissie
Senior attorney
A hearing is easier to face when you know the room and the rules.
I have spent most of my career in immigration court. I take cases where a judge will decide whether someone may stay, including asylum and cancellation of removal, and I prepare each client for the hearing.
I came to this country as a student, and I know how it feels to wait for a letter.
Cases I take most
- Asylum and other protection claims
- Bond, cancellation of removal and appeals

How I work
I tell clients what the judge will ask, in what order and why. Then we practice, until the hearing feels like something you can do.
If you have a notice
Call as soon as you have it. The first hearing date is the one that cannot be missed, and there is more we can do the earlier we start.
